PUBLIC ENEMY : REBELS WITHOUT A PAUSE (DOCUMENTARY)

Public Enemy were inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame this year. They were one of the groups that were definitely inspirational to my youth and one of the first groups that fully introduced me to hip hop (why else would a born and raised Chicago Kid, where a Pittsburgh Pirates hat?). They we’re revolutionary. I remember one summer day in 1990, my uncle bought me, Fear of a Black Planet. It was my first piece of music with a Parental Advisory Explicit Lyrics Sticker. So I had to rock the tape with a walkman, fully soaking in and marinating the sounds of Chuck D, Flavor Flav, Terminator X and the Bomb Squad. They’re influence on Hip Hop/Pop culture is undeniable. Salute to Public Enemy and I am looking forward to watching this doc.
