  1. First off, the underachievers are an amazing duo I blast em in my car whenever i get the chance. bar after bar they spit crazy on the new mixtape. flatbush are hype, they spit real on all their tracks. a lot could be said about joey,he is the new young face for the coast, his lyrics amzing for his age, following ASAP in keepin the NY scene hot and fresh. this is 2 dope to miss.

I have been a fan from the start of Joey Bada$$’s career, and I support the entire “Beast Coast” movement. When Joey Bad came out with his tapes “1999” and “Rejex” it gave us hip-hop heads a taste of something the game has been missing. It reminds me of the days of growing up in the 90’s and listening to east coast hip-hop. I would love to be able to share Reggie’s Rock Club with a couple hundred hip-hop heads like myself, Joey Bad & Pro Era, Flatbush Zombies, and The Underachievers. Much love

    This lineup is so ridiculous.

Pro Era and Joey Badass are bringing back the sound of NYC hip hop from the early 90’s. It’s refreshing to hear New York artists that actually sound like they are from New York for a change. Joey and his crew are reviving the mentality of having a huge (but still talented) rap crew a la Wu Tang – something the rap game hasn’t seen in a long time. The Underachievers bring something new to the table without sounding too forced or played out. Their mixtape sounds like it could easily be their debut album. All the songs are solid and it has a great list of producers. DJ Static Selektah has been in the game since I was a kid and I love all his shit with Action Bronson. I haven’t heard much from Flatbush Zombies, but their video for Thug Waffle is fuckin ridiculous. Oh yeah, and Reggies is the shit. A small, intimate venue that pulls solid acts of all genres.

THAT’S WHY I WANT THESE TICKETS!

I need these tickets because I’m not just a hype beast fan that likes him because he’s whats in at the moment, but because i’m a huge hip hop fan, not just music but all elements from graffiti, break dancing, djng, And because of this I find my self listening to late 80s-90s hip hop because noting has came out recent thats given me the same vibe as the hip hop back then. Now that I heard joey bada$$ i’ve realized that real hip hop still does exist to this day. So because of this id want the opportunity to see joey badass live and also have the 90’s vibe when i hear a lord finesse, or j dilla beat.

I believe I should get free tickets because I’ve been a fan for everyone performing here since day one. I don’t know anyone else that listen to them as much as I do. My dream is to see Joey Badass live one day and I want Jugrnaut to hook me up. Jugrnaut is alsoy favorite store ever. I shop there everytime I go to the city.

  9. Joey is 18.
He has a name for himself worldwide as a dope MC.
I’m 18 and also an MC, with little influence in my own neighborhood.

I want the tickets because I want to be present during Joey’s performance in Chicago; I believe that this is definitely going to be a moment, not beneficial just forJoey, but for Chicago’s entire music scene as well.
It’s extremely evident that since Joey’s debut, he’s influenced many of the youth in Chicago musically/personally/etc.
His presence in the city itself is bound to provoke a positive change in many of the youth here. As far as musicians goes, his presence here will likely be the impetus that helps many artists stray away from the “dreadheaded trap rap” that permeates our radio stations and towards more music with a message behind it.

And as an artist myself, and being the same age as Joey, something like this is the re-assuring factor for me that it is definitely to make a name for yourself at any age.

Honestly, I want the tickets because I think this particular concert will be something to experience. Everyone always explains about the status of Hip-Hop, that it is dead or what not, but honestly there’s way more to the culture besides sounding like what once was in music. I find myself thinking about these things because it’s what I study, culture, and the fact of the matter is the sound that Joey Badass brings is phenomenal. It is a reminiscent and nostalgic sound, which makes my appreciation for his music grow, I mean anyone can pick up an old Nas album, and any of the other pioneers, but to have a new artist kick back a massive amount of lyrical wordplay in this day in age, is what makes me a fan. To give an old sound, and new twist has been done before and will continue to happen but Joey’s donation to hip-hop makes anyone who has a keen interest in that era, appreciate the fact that young “old soul” of an artist is doing. I am a fan of hip-hop, more than music and being a fad to everyone, but for what it is founded on self-expression, and that is a lifestyle. Which is why I support many of our local artists and shops here in Chicago because we are continuing to express ourselves as a city, and everyday as individuals. I want the tickets because I am not a hip-hop head, its not something you can be, it’s how you live, and I want to continue living and supporting everything this diverse and rich city has to offer. Salute to Jugrnaut for being a huge supporter of this lifestyle and aid in supplying the many others like myself with a fix of music, and fashion in its rawest form.

I’m a Chicago nigga basically. I grind with the grimiest. And that’s why I deserve these tickets

I want these tickets because I’ve been a Joey Bada$$ fan since I heard Survival Tactics, and downloaded the “1999” mixtape. I’m not just a Joey fan though, one of my favorite songs off the tape was Suspect featuring all of Pro Era trading lines. Beyond Pro Era though I saw the Underachievers on New Years before I knew anything about them or Indogism had dropped. Since seeing them, and hearing Indigoism I’ve become a big fan of some of there lesser known songs such as New New York and 6th Sense. Finally Flatbush Zombies are one of my favorite emerging groups, with a unique flow and production by Erick Arc Elliot on songs such as Thug Waffle and S.C.O.S.A. Hearing about the show back in February I thought I was going to be out of the town for work so I didn’t get tickets and once I discovered I’d be able to go they were sold out. Missing a union of the Beast Coast Movement, with the members of all the different rap groups having known each other for years would be a travesty. The Beast Coast Movement is helping bring in a Golden Age of rap along with the West Coast, and I would hate missing the Beast Coast’s coming out tour. I deserve these tickets because I’m a fan of every artist on the line up, because I consider Joey a role model for myself. As if at 18 years old he can achieve so much, and have the lyrical content and knowledge of someone much older, then I can accomplish anything as a 19 year old with perseverance and hard work.
