Rodrigo ‘Solo’ Mireles is a native of Chicago and contributed heavily to the growth of the city’s graffiti-art community during the 1990s as a key member of the group called AeroSoul.
He grew up on the city’s South Side in the mid-80s, on a steady diet of hip-hop culture – specifically graffiti art. Since then, it’s been an interesting ride of mix-tape illustration, graffiti murals, airbrushed t-shirts, graphic designs, caricatures and formal fine arts training at the American Academy of Art.
His style has been described as “Flashy, slick characters, a unique combination of hip-hop culture and anime aesthetics”.
