Borges’s work sounds quite fascinating, and I think he touches on an important point with regards to storytelling, namely, that characters are much more interesting than obstacles. I really don’t want to sound like I’m pooh-poohing the Theseus myths of old – those stories have their priorities and their complexities which don’t necessarily involve giving the Minotaur a personality and a face beyond “mindless beast.” But I admire Borges’s approach in that he took an element that many would see as merely functional and gave it a 평택출장샵story to tell, as well as a voice to tell it with, thus providing the story with an extra wrinkle. When we’re granted access to the point of view of the antagonist, especially one as bestial as the Minotaur, we are suddenly presented with a character whose likeness to us becomes rather uncanny. It’s sad, and quite a bit terrifying to know that a monster can think and reason like the hero, but still isn’t quite human.
